Ah, Saturday mornings. The fresh air, the sounds of the Pokémon Centre...
The god-awful food they serve.
Calem was in a great mood this morning, within reason. Froakie evolved into Frogedier during training yesterday(Egon evolved too, into a...What'sitcalled-Braixen) and he was about 20 times stronger than his small self. We fought one another after they evolved and Egon actually managed to faint Frogedier, something I was surprised about.
Nurse Joy walked into our room, giving me a little bow. "Miss Ellis, someone is here to see you," she said.
"Oh? Well, let 'em in."
Nurse Joy nodded and stepped to the side. Tyler came in, with-
"Big Red?!"
My Fletchling flew to my shoulder and started preening my tangled red hair. I stroked his wing and was surprised to feel it was softer than it used to be. "He's okay! How did...?!"
"He hitched a ride with Laitif. He'd fainted during the battle with Raikou. I wanted to heal him before I returned him to you."
"Thank you!" I hugged Tyler, grinning. "I was worried he didn't make it out of the portal!"
"He almost didn't." Looker walked up behind Tyler. I let go of the boy in blue and shyly bowed to Looker(bows are a sign of gratitude and greeting, Calem told me). "Thank you for saving him."
"Thank you for helping us." Looker put a hand on my shoulder. "You did very well. How would you like to be my assistant."
Well, let's see. Last time I was his assistant I was startled, shocked(both by a Pokémon attack and at the sight of a trainer calming a Legenadry), torn a strip off of by Calem for ditching him and lost a Pokémon. But Calem did apologize and Big Red is back, so...
"Yes."
Looker clapped his hands together. "Brilliant! Here, take this. I will contact you when needed." He handed me a card, turned away and strode out of the Pokémon Centre.
There was a weird silence. Tyler and I looked at one another nervously.
"So, uh..." He stammered.
"You should...Probably follow Looker. Y'know, so he...Doesn't leave you behind."
A look of slight hurt flashed across Tyler's face, making me feel bad. He sighed and turned away, walking out the doors after Looker. I closed the door and took a moment to collect myself.
'I'll call Looker later and talk to Tyler,' I decided. I grabbed my clothes, made a mental note to buy more so I don't wear the same shit every day, and went to the bathroom to get dressed.

"You WHAT?!!"
Egon put a paw on my shoulder, growling at a furious Calem. I gulped and shrank away. "I only wanted to help the Police..."
"You have no idea what the man DOES, Ellis!! The man doesn't even look like a Police officer! And what the Hell kind of a name is 'Looker'?!"
"Calem, I-I'm sorry-"
"You know what? Forget it. I'm tired of looking after you." Calem started throwing his things into his bag angrily.
"But-"
"You want to do something dangerous and not tell me, FINE. I'll tell your mom who you're involved with now."
"Cal-"
He flung his bag over his shoulder and silenced me with a look, then left me standing in the bedroom. I slumped onto the bed and buried my head in my hands. Egon whimpered and rubbed my shoulder.
I just lost a friend...
"Hold it! You missed one!"
Actually, no. Part nine was written by a friend. It's right here: kyr22.deviantart.com/journal/S…
Yeah. As it turns out, Calem was looking out for me. First I lied to him about helping Looker with a portal, then I get involved with someone his mother always told him could not be trusted. This isn't the first time I lied to Calem. Now I'm on my own...

If your character is thinking of doing with mine what I think she's thinking of doing...
Know that that land is tread by a dinosaur. She doesn't take kindly to humans doing that.
